Just coming back from Brazil, I got totally addicted to ACAI BERRY (aka one of the super food berries) Not only did I Know I was eating vitamin & mineral rich goodness, but my goodness the taste was amazing! Almost like a really good quality, luxury purple grape. There are so many health benefits to eating this daily as a light meal or swapping it for that afternoon snack. The Acai Berry is loaded with anti-oxidants the help prevent chronic diseases, it boosts your metabolism and lifts up energy levels. Also It improves mental clarity and promotes sound sleep, It even helps with digestive functions and helps to remove built up toxins and fats. I could go on and on- as one of the locals explained to me in every detail.. It is very common in South America and still quite hard to find anywhere else. So I would suggest checking out local organic super markets. The best way to eat is freeze the berries, blend and eat with a spoon. It’s very filling so no need to eat with a meal. Enjoy the taste and the benefits.

For a Smoothie that is great for your bones, muscles, fatigue and tiredness. Try blending: 6 Peeled and Chopped Oranges, 1 bannan, 1 cup of Strawberries, 1/8 of Gogi Berries, 1/8 of Chia Seeds. It’s full of goodness+ super tasty .

Although the thought of a food diary seems a bit daunting. By writing down everything you consume on a daily basis will give you a better insight to your eating habits. This does not have to be forever but over time you will be more cautious of your choices – resulting in a healthier eating approach. Starting off with a diary will help you get into a good routine, and eventually you won’t even need the diary.
